Taiga is a forest of the cold, subarctic region. The subarctic is an area of the Northern Hemisphere that lies just south of the Arctic Circle. The taiga lies between the tundra to the north and temperate forests to the south.

Katahdin refers to Mount Katahdin, Maine’s tallest mountain. Famous for the knife edge trail.

Nagoro is a village in the Iya Valley on the island of Shikoku in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. It is known for the large number of realistic dolls positioned throughout the village.

Gomantong Caves are an intricate cave system inside Gomantong Hill in Sandakan Division, Sabah, Malaysia.

Bakhta is a remote village located in Turukhansky District, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia.
